Drawer Inside The Barlines is
is an art exhibition held at The Power Station of Art, a municipal con
temporary art museum located in Huangpu, Shanghai, China. (The museum is a public institution
funded by the Shanghai City Culture and Tourism Bureau.) I was commissioned by curators Zhou
Chu and Li Hiu Ching Crystal to create the visual identity for this exhibition. The works include the
exhibition posters, tickets, catalogues, wall text and labels.
The design process involved close collaboration with the curators to ensure that the visual identity
aligned with the overall theme and message of the exhibition. From initial sketches to the finall de
signs, each step was meticulously planned and executed and the entire planning and design pro
cess lasted for 4 weeks. The exhibition successfully opened on 22 June 2024.
